Our platform is already delivering strong results for our customers. Now we’re evolving it further to support international scale. We’re building a high-seniority in-house product and engineering team in Helsinki, and you’d join as one of the first senior engineers in this team.

Role details

You're joining at the most exciting possible moment: evolving our core platform to its next generation. This isn't maintenance work, but strategic development that will shape how we scale.

Your First 6 Months

  • Build user experiences for both consumers and businesses: You’ll evolve the platform used by thousands. You'll work on conversational AI interfaces, dashboards that visualize complex data beautifully, and interaction patterns that feel intuitive
  • Establish frontend foundations: Shape the design system, component library, and patterns that will scale with us. You'll make architectural decisions that impact the product for years
  • Bridge design and engineering: Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, performant React components. You'll challenge designs when technical constraints matter and suggest better interactions when you see opportunities
  • Own the full flow: Implement complete features end-to-end, from understanding user needs with designers to integrating with backend APIs to ensuring performance at scale
  • Define technical standards: Write clean, testable code that other engineers will learn from. Shape testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and build systems that enable rapid iteration

The Technical Challenges You'll Solve

  • Building performant interfaces that handle massive datasets (customers have hundreds of thousands of interactions monthly)
  • Creating reusable components that work across three product suites: business growth platform, consumer-facing apps, and an upcoming third product
  • Implementing real-time AI chat interfaces and conversational products
  • Optimizing loading times and performance across the platform
  • Ensuring accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design across all experiences
  • Writing secure code that handles increasing amounts of personal data as we scale internationally

Your Stakeholders

  • Product & Design – Your daily collaborators. You’ll work closely with design to brainstorm, define and build feature concepts, user-facing solutions, and beautiful, scalable UIs and components
  • Backend Engineers – You'll communicate data structure needs, coordinate API integrations, and ensure smooth handoffs
  • CEO – You're close to company vision. When you have ideas that could transform the product, you'll have direct access to decision-makers
  • Internal teams (CS, onboarding, sales) – They'll occasionally request small improvements. You'll balance strategic work with quick wins that build organizational trust

Benefits & practical details

  • Compensation: 4500–6500 €/month salary (depending on experience)
  • Location: Helsinki office, as the product team is in Helsinki
  • Schedule: 4-day workweek (Mon–Thu) with full 5-day salary – every weekend is a long weekend
  • Onboarding: On-site during your first months to build relationships and understand the product deeply
  • Hybrid option: After onboarding, 1 remote day per week if you prefer

Requirements: Located in Finland (the capital region) with valid work permit (we don't offer relocation or visa services currently), professional proficiency in English – you'll communicate daily with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • 5–7+ years of production SaaS development: you've shipped features users rely on, and you've seen products scale (or struggle to scale)
  • Deep React + TypeScript expertise: you write clean, typed code. You understand Hooks, Context, component architecture. You know when to optimize and when "good enough" ships faster
  • Product thinking, not just code execution: you care about the "why" behind features. You ask questions like "How will users discover this?" and "What happens when they have 10000 records?"
  • Startup/scale-up experience: You thrive in the possibility of defining how things should be done, you've worked in environments where you get to shape architecture and ways of working.
  • Consumer product sensibility: you appreciate beautiful interfaces. You notice when animations feel off. You care about the 90% experience, not just the happy path
