Role: Program Manager

Germany: minimum C1 level

Location: Bonn, Frankfurt and Munich, Germany (Anywhere in Germany)

Occasional travel to office as per the project need.

The Program Manager oversees multiple related projects, ensuring they are executed strategically and cohesively to deliver organizational value. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, aligns program goals with business objectives, manages risks, and ensures timely delivery of outcomes across various projects within the program.


Key Responsibilities

Program Strategy & Planning

  • Define program objectives, scope, and success metrics.
  • Develop and maintain the program roadmap, schedule, and resource plan.
  • Align program goals with organizational strategy and stakeholder expectations.

Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of all projects under the program.
  • Track progress, manage dependencies, and resolve escalations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of milestones within budget and quality standards.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide data-driven insights to leadership.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with project managers, product teams, engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
  • Facilitate effective communication across all program teams.
  • Support teams with decision-making, prioritization, and removing blockers.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program-level updates.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and present progress to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage expectations, negotiate priorities, and ensure alignment at all levels.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues.
  • Develop contingency plans and ensure teams adhere to governance processes.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Plan, track, and manage program budget, expenditures, and resource allocations.
  • Optimize resource usage across projects to maximize efficiency.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree / Master's degree in business, engineering, technology, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • Strong understanding of program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • German Language skills (C1 preferred)
  • Automotive / DMS domain expertise

Preferred

  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certifications.
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or complex cross-functional environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
