Human Resources Generalist

Why This Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to join the eir HR team. The role will support multiple business units, take ownership and lead the delivery of HR operations within those units. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will work within the HR Business Partnering team and collaborate with the wider HR function to implement initiatives that align with the business unit and people strategy across all business areas. This role involves leading the planning and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives, and driving the rollout of HR policies and programmes related to the HR strategic priorities of talent, Organisation Design, Employee Experience and HR Transformation. The role holder will also be accountable for managing employee relations cases.
Expectations From The Role:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company standards and policy.
- Deliver successfully annual processes such as performance review, calibration, talent review, annual reward cycle and employee engagement survey action planning.
- Coach and support managers driving a high-performance culture, including corrective action to restore high performance and address performance issues as required.
- Support the delivery of the eir talent strategy, including managing the end-to-end process to ensure successful hiring, onboarding and development of talent in line with our talent, diversity and succession strategy.
- Assist in delivery of talent development initiatives including annual talent review, succession planning, development planning and career pathing.
- Support the delivery of organisation design projects, to deliver an effective and efficient organisation.
- Prepare and maintain management guidelines on selected HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and deliver HR related training programmes (e.g. performance management, absence management, talent and succession planning, people management).
- Support the planning and implementation of various HR related projects and initiatives
- Ensure HR compliance by monitoring and auditing implementation of policies and
- Prepare ad hoc and monthly HR reports, headcount reports and reviewing trend reports.
- Lead employee experience programmes and drive improvement in employee engagement.
- Provide advice and guidance to line managers and employees throughout all stages of the employee life cycle, ensuring that all advice provided is in line with HR policies and procedures.
- This role will involve organisation wide projects and initiatives.

- At least 4 years’ experience working in a Human Resource team within a fast paced, complex organisation
- Strong knowledge and experience of implementing HR processes (talent management, organisation design, engagement, HR transformation employee relations, performance management and managing compliance with employment legislation).
- Ability to demonstrate how HR contributes to business performance and organisational goals.
- Excellent numerical and strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Sound judgement, credible and the ability to deal with confidential information sensitively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience of data analytics and insights to identify trends that drive decision making.
- Ability to organise own work efficiently, priortise tasks and deliver tasks to tight and often-changing deadlines.
- Proactive approach, self-starter and willing to take initiative.
- While a HR degree is not necessary, it is an advantage, as is a member of the Chartered Institute ofPersonnel & Development (CIPD).
- Experience working in a unionised environment is an advantage.
