Network Support Engineer - Nijverdal


Are you interested in joining a Cisco Partner who are a growing telecoms and network provider?


You will gain experience and training in Cisco, Aruba, Juniper and Fortinet technologies where you will be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining routers, switches and firewalls for health care customers.


As a you will be working for a Cisco Partner, you will be required and supported to get a CCNA within the first year of joining as well as further Certification support to boost your career. You will be allocated time and specialised training to achieve this Work within a close-knit team where you will be able to collaborate with multiple teams to ensuring seamless delivery and support on mission critical environments.



Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving network issues across LAN, WAN, WIFI and firewalling Systems
  • Be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining networking equipment including Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet ensuing stable and secure customer infrastructure.
  • Execute planned maintenance and upgrades, including patching and performance optimisation, while proactively monitoring network health and identifying improvement areas.
  • Support and deliver network implementation projects, handling office-based preparation and on-site execution to deploy customer solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with NOC, SOC, and service teams, contributing to documentation, escalation support, and high-quality service delivery.



Required Skills & Experience

  • MBO+ or HBO level qualification (or equivalent experience) with a strong foundation in networking principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, or Juniper technologies; CCNA certification preferred or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
  • Solid understanding of routing, switching, WiFi, and firewall technologies across enterprise and telecom environments.
  • Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset, with clear communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Team-oriented professional who can take initiative, work independently, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, and travel to customer sites within one to two hours of Nijverdal.
  • Valid category B driving licence and willingness to operate in field-based environments and fluent Dutch speaking
