For our Client we are currently looking for Candidates for the position of:


GitLab / DevOps Engineer


Location: Warsaw, Rondo Daszynskiego

Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)

Length: till April 2027

Rate: open

Start date: ASAP/30 days

Working hours: business hours

Working in hybrid model 3 days per week in the office in Warsaw (Rondo Daszynskiego)


What will you do:


  • The GitLab Engineer / DevOps Engineer will design, build, and maintain GitLab components and related tooling that empower product teams across the organization
  • This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on platform enablement, CI/CD enhancement, test automation, and AI driven use cases within pipelines
  • GitLab components management: Design, implement, and manage groups, projects, runners, pipelines, templates, and shared libraries
  • CI/CD enablement: Build and maintain shared pipelines, reusable templates, and best practice delivery patterns
  • Tool integration: Connect artifact repositories, secret management, scanning (SAST/DAST), observability, and policy as code
  • Runner implementation: Deploy and maintain GitLab Runners (Kubernetes, autoscaling, Docker, shell) with enterprise grade reliability
  • Test automation: Contribute to frameworks and integrate automated quality gates (unit, integration, e2e, performance, security)
  • AI in CI/CD: Explore intelligent test selection, code quality insights, pipeline optimization, and AI assistants, ensuring responsible AI governance
  • Collaboration: Work with security, platform, and product teams to standardize workflows and improve developer productivity
  • Performance optimization: Monitor pipelines, optimize cost and reliability, and establish SLAs/SLOs with KPIs
  • Knowledge sharing: Create documentation, runbooks, training materials, and provide Tier 2/3 support
  • Continuous improvement: Drive automation, self service capabilities, and feedback loops

What we expect from you:


  • Min. 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in GitLab engineering at enterprise scale
  • Must have technologies: Python, YAML, Bash, GitLab
  • Programming focus: pipeline scripting and automation frameworks
  • Security tools: SonarQube and JFrog Xray preferred
  • Nice to have technologies: Artifactory, SonarQube, Java/Maven, Node.js, Go, Rust
  • Nice to have certification: GitLab Certified, Kubernetes, DevSecOps
  • Knowledge of English on B2/C1 level
