The client seeks a Product Designer to join a growing cross-functional product team building AI-powered tools that transform operating room workflows. This opportunity is ideal for a designer passionate about healthcare innovation, human-centered design, and the potential of AI to reduce cognitive and administrative load for clinical teams.
This role sits at the intersection of healthcare, design, and artificial intelligence. The product leverages real-time computer vision and context-aware AI to understand and support surgical procedures as they happen. From automating surgical stage documentation to improving intraoperative coordination, the client is removing friction in one of the most critical environments in healthcare.
In the first 6 months, the Product Designer will:
- Lead design projects end-to-end across product discovery, prototyping, user research, and delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and clinicians to deeply understand surgical workflows and translate them into intuitive, reliable interfaces.
- Transform complex clinical data and multi-step workflows into clean, usable designs.
- Design, prototype, and iterate on solutions based on real-world testing and feedback.
- Maintain and evolve the product’s design system for scalability and consistency.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to identify opportunities and validate solutions.
- Partner closely with engineers to ensure high-quality design implementation.
- Support commercial efforts by producing visual assets and marketing designs that articulate the platform’s value to stakeholders.
- Champion user-centered design practices across the organization.
This opportunity is best suited for designers who:
- Are comfortable working across the full product design lifecycle—from research to polished UI.
- Enjoy collaboration with engineers, clinicians, and business stakeholders.
- Can simplify ambiguous and complex workflows into intuitive interfaces.
- Communicate clearly through visuals, writing, and feedback loops.
- Are confident in Figma and familiar with tools like Dovetail, Mixpanel, and prototyping platforms (e.g., Lovable, Cursor).
- (Bonus) Bring experience with motion design or Adobe Creative Cloud to enhance marketing visuals and micro-interactions.
- Appreciate solving real problems in a mission-driven, clinical context.
