As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key contributor in designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud environments that support complex data, analytics, and application ecosystems. You will collaborate closely with developers, data scientists, product owners, and other technical teams to streamline delivery pipelines, embed security into every layer of development, and drive the adoption of modern DevSecOps practices. Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and build scalable, reliable, high-performance cloud systems and environments.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and monitoring solutions to ensure system health, data quality, and optimal application performance.
• Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices, including secure coding standards, security architecture, and strong preventative/corrective cloud security controls.
• Lead the implementation of Policy as Code to support governance, compliance, and automated enforcement across environments.
• Develop cloud infrastructure and platform code while ensuring compliance with client Information Security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to documentation, and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of cloud deployment experience (AWS preferred, or Azure) and 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, Agile team environments, and development tools (Python an asset).
• Hands-on experience with database technologies (SQL or NoSQL) and cloud-deployed APIs, microservices, containers, and orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with data integration tools (Apache Spark, Databricks), Unity Catalog, and IAM systems such as Entra AD.
• Experience working in production environments with monitoring, logging, clustering, load balancing, redundancy, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and present to technical audiences; technical degree or equivalent experience required.

Pay: $65-75 per/hour based on a 40 hour work week

9 month contract with the possibility to extend
