Urgent requirement for a Software Engineer, based in Basel, Switzerland for a major financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition to updated frameworks, tools, and platforms, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption
• Enhance and restructure existing systems to improve maintainability, efficiency, and long-term stability
• Mentor team members by sharing best practices, offering technical guidance, and supporting continuous improvement
• Expand functionality within the e-banking back-end by designing new modules and features
• Develop and evolve high-performance software solutions using modern technology stacks

Requirements

• Strong command of Microsoft SQL Server, advanced T-SQL, and up-to-date knowledge of .NET 8.0
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in C# development
• Self-driven, hands-on mindset with the ability to operate independently
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues, prioritise effectively, and apply strong analytical thinking
• Capable of thriving under pressure while maintaining high-quality output
• Degree (University / FH) in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional training
• Experience spearheading or contributing to technology-driven initiatives
• Confident working with cross-functional teams and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and decisions
• Excellent command of English
