Urgent requirement for a Software Engineer, based in Basel, Switzerland for a major financial institution.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition to updated frameworks, tools, and platforms, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption
- Enhance and restructure existing systems to improve maintainability, efficiency, and long-term stability
- Mentor team members by sharing best practices, offering technical guidance, and supporting continuous improvement
- Expand functionality within the e-banking back-end by designing new modules and features
- Develop and evolve high-performance software solutions using modern technology stacks
Requirements
- Strong command of Microsoft SQL Server, advanced T-SQL, and up-to-date knowledge of .NET 8.0
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in C# development
- Self-driven, hands-on mindset with the ability to operate independently
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues, prioritise effectively, and apply strong analytical thinking
- Capable of thriving under pressure while maintaining high-quality output
- Degree (University / FH) in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional training
- Experience spearheading or contributing to technology-driven initiatives
- Confident working with cross-functional teams and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and decisions
- Excellent command of English
