We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team for an initial 6 month contract to assist with delivering an emergency management CRM system to streamline processes and improve service delivery
This position will require you oversee the end-to-end delivery of this project and ensure proposed solutions are aligned with the approved business case, effective governance, and ensuring the successful implementation of agile practices.
Typical Responsibilities
Project Planning & Governance
- Develop and maintain project plans, governance frameworks, and ensure compliance with business objectives.
Agile Delivery Leadership
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and manage backlog, sprint progress, and velocity metrics.
Risk & Issue Management
- Maintain a risk register, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues when required.
Budget & Timeline Oversight
- Monitor project finances and schedules to ensure delivery within approved constraints.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide weekly and monthly project status reports, including risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Prepare executive dashboards and summaries for governance forums such as the Steering Committee.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience working as a Project Manager within the government sector (federal or state)
- Experience working in complex ICT environments
- Strong background in formal project management methodologies (PRINCE2 or PMBOK).
- Proven Agile Project Management/Scrum Master experience, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage the full project lifecycle, from planning through to operational handover.
- Experience leading multi-functional teams across Business Analysis, Architecture (Solution, Security, Data, Infrastructure), Development, and Testing.
- Extensive experience in software development and/or COTS implementation.
- Hands-on experience managing project budgets and forecasts, delivering projects within approved financial parameters.
