We are looking for a Senior Python & SQL Developer with excellent English communication and presentation skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business, technical, and security requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Assess existing processes and applications and design solutions that address new and evolving needs.
• Perform code reviews and refactor existing code to improve maintainability, performance, and compliance with best practices.
• Develop new features, templates, and components that integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
• Build and maintain database schemas and data-loading scripts in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Write unit tests and support system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Provide training and support to users in coding, database development, and IT infrastructure topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Physics, or similar, or equivalent experience (mandatory).
• Professional software engineering experience with Python and SQL (At least 7 years)
• Strong object-oriented programming skills and knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience with automated testing (pytest, unittest, behave).
• Proficient with Flask, NumPy, Pandas, and with XML, JSON, YAML.
• Strong Git experience.
• Experience in Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
• Exposure to software development methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, DevOps).

Desired Skills

• Experience in financial services, particularly Capital Markets.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines).
• Scripting skills (shell, PowerShell, batch).
• Familiarity with additional programming languages (Java, R, MATLAB, Julia).
• Experience with Python libraries such as PyTorch, Plotly, and Dash.
• Understanding of reporting tools (Power BI) and Big Data technologies (Spark, CosmosDB).
• Knowledge of cloud-based microservice architectures (Azure).
• Ability to document business requirements and produce technical documentation.
• Strong Excel skills.
