Job description

• Design and maintain scalable data and RAG pipelines (batch and real-time)
• Integrate data from various sources (cloud and on-premises), including vector databases and embedding models
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation
• Fine-tune and apply large language models (LLMs) for domain-specific applications
• Implement CI/CD practices, version control, and thorough documentation for reproducible development
• Ensure safe, reliable, and ethically responsible AI systems
• Monitor and optimise performance and cost-efficiency of AI pipelines and models
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, product owners, and other stakeholders
• Document model behaviour, performance metrics, and decision logic for transparency

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Software Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an AI Engineer or Data Engineer
• Proficiency with Python, (No)SQL, (Py)Spark, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks
• Knowledge of building and maintaining vector databases and embedding models
• Proactive, independent, and strong communicator
• Experience working in agile teams with a hands-on mentality
• Commitment to quality, security, and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control tools
• AI-savviness is a clear advantage: you know how to apply generative AI and LLMs for innovation and efficiency
