Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Urgent requirement for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, based in Basel, Switzerland for a major financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Write and enhance shell scripts to optimize CI/CD processes
• Enable application deployment by reviewing and writing OpenShift scripts
• Maintain development tools (build tools, IDEs, containers, etc.)
• Support developers throughout the development cycle while ensuring best practices and company standards, including documentation
• Tune and engineer tools (Logs, ETL, API Management, NoSQL databases, etc.)
• Analyze and optimize application sizing
• Conduct root cause analysis

Requirements

• University degree (University or FH) in an IT-related field, completed apprenticeship, or equivalent education
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience as a DevSecOps Engineer
• Hands-on experience with at least one CI/CD tool (preferably Azure DevOps), Kubernetes (preferably OpenShift), containerization, and shell scripting
• Development experience (preferably with Microsoft .NET) and knowledge in at least one of the following: Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or any API management tool
• Strong ability to analyze system environments with a holistic viewpoint
• Hands-on, proactive approach
• Fluency in English
