We work closely with major carriers, commerce platforms, and globally recognized brands including DHL, InPost, Shopify, Paul Smith, and NA-KD. Our customers love what we enable—and we’re just getting started.

About You

We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Manager who wants to play a core role in our product mission and help drive the culture, performance, and execution of our engineering teams. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact position where you will elevate our engineering excellence and champion the adoption of AI across our workflows.

This role is central to our growth objectives for 2026–2027 as we expand globally, demonstrate profitability, and position “Ingrid” as the go-to name for AI-powered delivery. If you thrive in fast-growing environments, enjoy adopting cutting-edge technologies, and believe in modern, people-first leadership—while working alongside individuals who know their “why”—we’d love to meet you.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager leading 1–2 teams (6–7 engineers), with full responsibility over hiring, performance, and technical execution
  • 5+ years of prior hands-on experience as a Senior Software Engineer in modern SaaS startups or scale-ups
  • Strong technical depth: full-stack development, customer-facing systems, large-scale distributed architectures, modern web platforms, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Proficiency in coding and in leveraging modern AI code generation tools
  • Commercial experience with modern programming languages primarily in Go or other statically typed languages (e.g., .NET, Java)
  • Proven ability to deliver impactful technical solutions—both individually and through your teams
  • Experience collaborating directly with stakeholders and customers; clear and effective technical communication
  • Ability to balance short-term solutions with long-term architectural thinking
  • Passion for great products, pragmatic design, and exceptional developer experience
  • A genuine care for people and a desire to help those around you succeed
  • A proactive mindset with a history of taking initiative and driving projects to success—even against challenges or ambiguity

Role Responsibilities

This position combines individual contribution with technical leadership (approximately 50/50):

Individual Contribution

  • Stay close to day-to-day technical execution
  • Guide teams through technical unknowns in partnership with principal engineers
  • Contribute as a strong senior engineer across the stack—from design to infrastructure
  • Advocate for and accelerate AI adoption to enhance engineering productivity

Technical and Leadership

  • Think strategically with a product mindset, empowering teams through trust, clarity, and passion
  • Partner with and influence our principal/staff engineering guild
  • Own all aspects of the team’s technical delivery: planning, prototyping, timelines, launches, observability, maintenance, and customer impact
  • Translate product and technical vision into strategy through OKRs, roadmaps, and technical specifications
  • Shape the engineering organization by identifying bottlenecks, defining opportunities, and leading the full hiring and performance cycle
  • Collaborate with product and design to deliver customer value in weeks, not months—leveraging innovation in API-first products, self-service, and data intelligence
  • Lead and develop engineering teams through effective coaching, continuous feedback, and fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and high performance

What We Offer

  • A high-trust, transparent, low-control environment
  • Competitive compensation and benefits (location dependent)
  • Meaningful daily work that challenges industry norms—and is genuinely fun
  • A strong hack culture with regular hackathons, retreats, and offsites (travel included)
  • Collaboration with top-tier engineering, product, and commercial teams
  • Modern equipment, tools, and premium AI licenses
  • Flexibility in organizing your work, with required collaboration overlap during 9:00–17:00 CET
  • Access to our Stockholm and Wrocław offices—complete with snacks and great coffee
