Breakthrough Talent are working with a client searching for a Senior Software Developer with a strong interest in AI to drive the integration of AI technologies into their product suite. You will join a small, high-performing in-house development team and play a key role in transforming complex domain problems into elegant, scalable solutions.
In addition to core software development responsibilities, you will act as the internal and external AI specialist, helping shape our technical direction, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to the evolution of their AI roadmap.
Role: Senior Software Developer
Location: Hybrid in Oslo
What You’ll Work On
- Contribute across the full software stack within a small development team.
- Translate complex, domain-specific problems into clean, maintainable code.
- Lead AI-related initiatives, serving as the primary expert when collaborating with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Support the design, planning, and implementation of AI features and integrations.
Experience required
- Experience working with .Net and ideally Python
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- REST APIs
- DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud engineering
- Time-series and/or industrial data systems (bonus)
- Understanding of modern software architecture (not a dedicated architect role).
AI & Data Experience
- Experience developing production-grade software (beyond research or prototypes).
- Deployment of AI components into existing applications.
- Familiarity with popular AI integration frameworks.
- Data engineering skills: cleaning, aggregation, contextualisation, structuring large datasets.
- Experience with industrial data—especially offshore or maritime—is a plus.
- Awareness of data requirements (metadata, volume, structure) for various AI methodologies.
Preferred AI Qualifications
- Ability to help shape an AI strategy and roadmap.
- Experience with:
- LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
- LLM API integrations (e.g., OpenAI, Mistral)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
- ML algorithms related to data processing and LLM integration
