Job Purpose

This hybrid role combines project management leadership with hands-on system engineering expertise. The position ensures successful delivery of ITOT-related projects while maintaining operational excellence across IT and OT environments. The ideal candidate will manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication while being capable of performing technical tasks such as patching, configuration, and troubleshooting within the ITOT domain.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Lead ITOT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, procurement, manage resources, and report progress to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with vendors, ship management teams, and internal ITOT teams for seamless execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned and best practices across projects.


System Engineering:

  • Perform patching cycles for critical systems, routers, firewalls, and switches, telephony and CCTV systems.
  • Monitor and analyse system performance (availability, throughput, latency) and implement tuning measures.
  • Troubleshoot network and OT issues; escalate to vendors when necessary.
  • Configure and maintain wired and wireless infrastructure, including IP addressing and firewall rules.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and maritime regulations.


Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate network and OT documentation, including master plans and configuration records.
  • Support audits and enforce adherence to IT security policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • IT Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Fortinet equivalents is a plus.
  • Proven experience in both Linux and Windows systems management (patching, configuration, troubleshooting).
  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in IT/OT or maritime environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible) and both Linux and Windows OS.
  • Strong understanding of maritime operational technology is a plus.

Additional Information

  • Occasional travel to ships and offices will be required
  • Participation in on-call rotation for critical incidents
