Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and committed DevOps Team Leader. The primary role is to manage and lead one of our DevOps teams and help build and deploy complex cloud environments for customers using innovative automation tools and cutting-edge technologies.
As Team Lead, you will oversee our DevOps initiatives and drive the adoption of best practices in automation, continuous integration, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and proven leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of DevOps engineers.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Lead team members in achieving professional excellence utilizing industry best practices
- Advise and maintain a feedback loop with the company’s customers to ensure deliveries are to the customer’s needs and expectations
- Function as a go-to tech lead for pinpointing challenges and finding creative solutions
- Prioritize projects/tasks according to company needs and expectations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Provide training and support to team members on DevOps tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing a team
- 2+ years of experience in leading the customer in their journey
- 3+ years experience with GCP and vast usage of their services
- 3+ years of experience with networking and Linux administration
- 2+ years of proven practical experience in building and managing:
- CI/CD solutions (Git, Gitflow, GitOps, Terraform, Jenkins pipeline Gitlab CI)
- Containers, orchestrators and tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
- System monitoring and centralized logging platforms using GCP native tooling
- Strong awareness of production environments
- Good scripting abilities in at least two of the following: Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell
- Experience with performing under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, flexible, communicative with a committed personality
- Works well in a self-reliant working atmosphere, independent and detail-oriented
