About the Role

GRO, a boutique marketing agency, is seeking a motivated Website Developer Intern to support our web team in building and maintaining client websites using WordPress and Elementor. This internship is ideal for someone who has a solid foundation in web design/development and wants hands-on agency experience turning modern layouts into responsive, polished sites.

You’ll work alongside senior developers and designers to help implement pages, update content, and ensure websites are functional, visually accurate, and optimized for performance.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and style web pages in Elementor within WordPress based on internal direction or Figma layouts.
  • Assist with responsive design adjustments across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Update website content (text, images, layouts) while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Support the team with site QA, including testing layouts, links, forms, and responsiveness.
  • Help implement basic on-page SEO best practices (meta titles/descriptions, image alt tags, heading structure).
  • Learn and follow GRO’s web build processes, file organization, and development standards.
  • Troubleshoot minor layout or Elementor issues and escalate complex items to senior devs.
What We’re Looking For
  • Current student or recent graduate in Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and Elementor (Elementor Pro experience is a plus).
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and general front-end principles.
  • Strong eye for design alignment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage tasks, follow timelines, and accept feedback quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple projects.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience translating Figma designs into WordPress/Elementor layouts.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, site speed optimization, or accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with plugins, theme settings, or WordPress admin tools.
  • Any small portfolio or examples of websites/pages you’ve built (class, freelance, or personal).
What You’ll Gain
  • Real-world experience building websites for agency clients.
  • Mentorship from experienced developers and designers.
  • Exposure to the full design-to-development workflow.
  • Portfolio-ready projects using WordPress + Elementor.
  • A strong foundation for future roles in web development or UI engineering.
  • Potential for long-term growth opportunities at GRO.
