Front-end Engineer - ML/RL Platform

We are seeking an experienced Front-end Engineer to help build and evolve a web-based platform for reinforcement learning (RL) training and RLOps. You will design, implement, and optimise user-facing interfaces and front-end systems that support large-scale RL model development and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, reliable front-end architecture for an RL training and management platform
  • Translate requirements into high-quality user interfaces and workflows
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to implement visual design within brand guidelines
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, resolving UI/UX issues
  • Optimise performance, including load times and runtime efficiency
  • Ensure accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG)
  • Identify and resolve user-facing bugs and usability issues
  • Maintain clear documentation to support ongoing development and troubleshooting

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 3+ years of front-end industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS (Tailwind), and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks and tools (React, Redux, GraphQL)
  • Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and managing client-side data flows
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimisation techniques
  • Strong grounding in software engineering principles and best practices
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively
