We are looking for a seasoned Lead Backend Developer with expertise in AWS to become a key contributor to our team.

In this position, you will spearhead the creation and upkeep of reliable backend systems designed to power scalable and high-performance applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions by leveraging cloud technologies. Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot as main frameworks
• Create RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems based on AWS Lambda and serverless architectures
• Configure and manage cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform within AWS environments
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and streamline deployment workflows using tools like Docker, GitHub Actions, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk
• Build automated testing frameworks for backend services, utilizing tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium
• Optimize production systems and enhance reliability using performance monitoring tools like Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic
• Oversee the lifecycle of backend services, including development, deployment, monitoring, and incident response
• Partner with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to ensure cohesive and efficient solution delivery
• Conduct detailed code reviews, draft technical documents, and provide insights for critical technical decisions

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of backend development experience using Java or equivalent programming languages
• 1+ year of experience leading teams or managing technical projects
• Strong knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) with familiarity with other technologies like Node.js or Python
• Proficiency in Terraform scripting to configure and automate AWS environments
• Skills in using Docker and CI/CD tools for seamless deployments of cloud-native systems
• Competency in monitoring and logging systems such as Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic
• Expertise in developing automated testing frameworks tailored for backend applications
• Understanding of microservices, REST API design principles, and event-driven architectures
• Capability to manage backend service lifecycles, ensuring stable and optimized production environments
• Strong analytical abilities for debugging and improving backend performance
• Advanced English proficiency (B2 or higher) with exceptional communication and writing skills

Nice to have

• Background in additional programming languages like Ruby or Rust, along with experience integrating legacy systems such as AS400
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like React or TypeScript to support endeavors in full-stack development
• Knowledge of build and configuration tools like Maven or Projen for effectively managing workflows
• Capability to create and maintain technical documentation to enhance onboarding processes and team knowledge
