Lead Backend Developer (with AWS)

We are seeking a skilled Lead Backend Developer with extensive expertise in AWS to enhance our team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot as primary technologies
• Design RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda and serverless frameworks
• Configure and manage cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for AWS environments
• Automate CI/CD processes, deployment workflows, and operational procedures with Docker, GitHub Actions, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk
• Create and maintain automated testing frameworks for backend systems using tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium
• Optimize and monitor production systems to ensure reliability and performance with tools like Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic
• Handle the lifecycle of backend services, including development, deployment, monitoring, and incident management
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to achieve integrated solutions
• Contribute to code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and participate in key technical decision-making

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development using Java or similar programming languages
• Minimum of 1 year of experience leading teams or managing technical projects
• Knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) and familiarity with additional backend technologies such as Node.js or Python
• Proficiency in managing Terraform scripts for automating AWS cloud infrastructure configuration
• Background in Docker and CI/CD tools to achieve effective cloud-native deployments
• Competency in monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic for system reliability and performance
• Expertise in building automated testing frameworks and scripting for backend systems
• Understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven system designs
• Flexibility to oversee the full lifecycle of backend services, ensuring stability and performance in production environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities to debug and enhance backend systems
• Advanced English proficiency (B2 level or higher) with outstanding written and oral communication skills for seamless collaboration

Nice to have

• Background in programming with Ruby or Rust and capability to integrate legacy systems such as AS400
• Understanding of frontend technologies like React or TypeScript to contribute to full-stack development projects
• Proficiency in configuration and build tools like Maven or Projen to streamline project workflows
• Skills in drafting technical documentation and contributing to onboarding efforts to support team growth
