In Argentina, within the insurance sector, we are actively seeking a Senior Java Engineer to strengthen our team.

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will play a crucial role in a highly skilled team consisting of experts in detailed design and data modeling. Your core responsibility will be developing high-quality, reusable backend code that supports scalable and maintainable microservices. This position offers you the chance to significantly impact global technological advancements while advancing your own technical skills and career growth.

This is you

  • 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer with Java;
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and Spring Boot framework;
  • Strong understanding and application of Domain Driven Design (DDD), design patterns, and object-oriented programming;
  • Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating SOAP web services;
  • Proficient in SQL and relational database management;
  • Advanced student or graduate in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Technology, or related fields;
  • Business-oriented, sets ambitious goals, maintains a positive attitude, and innovatively solves problems;
  • Native-level Spanish speaker with intermediate English skills.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes;
  • Experience or understanding of cloud platforms, especially Azure;
  • Knowledge of messaging brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka;
  • Experience with NoSQL databases.

This is your role

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java within a microservice's architecture;
  • Collaborate closely with design and data modeling teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance;
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code adhering to best practices and design principles, including Domain Driven Design, design patterns, and OOP;
  • Develop and maintain RESTful services and integrate with SOAP-based services as needed;
  • Manage and optimize SQL database queries and interactions;
  • Participate in code reviews, refactoring efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
