Moreover, Enery successfully built a Batter Energy Storage System (BESS) pipeline with first projects already having reached an advanced stage. We attribute strong importance to the build-out of electricity storage capacity as a necessary part of our company’s transition. Given the need for planning, development and execution of the BESS pipeline, we are looking for a BESS Specialist / Project Manager with a primary focus in Romania and also in other Enery geographies.

What You’ll Do:


1. Planning, developing, reporting and managing the execution of Enery’s BESS projects, in collaboration with different teams in the company, with guidance and support from the Vienna-based BESS Team.

2. Monitoring technical and commercial industry developments and policies related to grid-scale battery development, deployment and operations.

3. Collaborating with commercial team to optimize the business cases in line with the developments in Enery markets and with the M&A team for financial modeling and reporting of new stand-alone or co-located BESS project opportunities.

4. Performing market analysis, establishing key assumptions, and supporting the development of the BESS revenue model.

5. Originating new BESS project opportunities in Enery geographies.

6. Supporting the BESS Team and the local development teams in expanding and executing Enery’s BESS strategy.

7. Preparing regular progress reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and external partners. Maintaining accurate records of project activities, expenditures, and outcomes.


As the BESS Specialist / Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our BESS initiatives, ensuring the successful implementation of projects from conception to completion.


Job Requirements:


· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics/Finance or similar)

· 3 plus years of experience within the renewable energy market, primarily in the BESS space and wind and/or solar PV projects.

· Proven experience in energy project development and execution of BESS Projects, wind and/or solar PV experience is a plus.

· Strong understanding of power markets, price and merit-order dynamics, as well as the relevant modelling

· Having commercial and financial acumen, including working with financial models.

· Basic technical understanding of battery design, CapEx, OpEx and warranty schemes.

· Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

· Strong sense of responsibility/ownership, problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.

· Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

· Willingness to travel as required.

Statutory notice: In accordance with the Austrian collective agreement for employees in information and consulting, the minimum gross monthly salary for this full-time position (40 hours/week) is €2.464,50. Please note that this is a legal requirement to state, but your actual compensation will be based on your qualifications and professional experience, and we would be happy to discuss it with you personally.
