We are now looking for

SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS

to join our Digital Engineering team at Finnair.

We're responsible for Finnair's digital customer experience and services - one of Finland's largest e-commerce platforms. We work in cross-functional teams across product, design, engineering and QA, each owning their solutions end-to-end. We work closely with business stakeholders across the company and operate as a multinational team primarily based in Finland.

We're now hiring across multiple teams. Depending on your interests and strengths, you might be:

  • A frontend-oriented full-stack developer in our Sales & Retail tribe, building booking flows, ancillary sales and customer-facing retail experiences across our digital channels
  • A backend-oriented full-stack developer in our Loyalty tribe, building authentication and SSO services, partner integrations, and customer-facing Finnair Plus experiences across our digital channels
  • A backend-oriented full-stack developer in our Service tribe, building self-service capabilities like check-in flows and disruption handling tools that help customers manage their journeys
  • A backend-oriented full-stack developer in our Personalisation & Data tribe, building microservices, APIs and data integrations that collect data and create personalised experiences across our digital touchpoints

You'll work across the stack regardless of your focus, and we'll find the right fit together during the process.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, For Example

  • Designing and developing customer-facing features and services
  • Building and optimizing microservices and APIs
  • Collaborating with colleagues across teams and domains
  • Taking end-to-end ownership from ideation to production
  • Supporting and monitoring the systems you build
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development practices and technical platform

In order to succeed and enjoy this role, we wish you have:

  • Genuine interest in aviation and building excellent digital customer experiences
  • Experience developing and operating large-scale, customer-facing services
  • Ability or interest to work across the stack, handling both frontend and backend tasks
  • A product mindset - you care how your work affects our customers and business
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A desire to learn and help others learn

Our Tech Stack

  • Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, SCSS
  • Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring, AWS CDK, Microservices, Docker
  • CI/CD & Testing: AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, Playwright, JUnit, Jest
  • Monitoring & Observability: AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry
