Regulatory Reporting Interpretation Senior Manager - Banking
Our client a well known Irish bank are looking to hire a Senior Manager - Regulatory Reporting Interpretation. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for the ongoing analysis and interpretation of new and existing regulatory requirements for the Finance function. The role holder will be responsible for advising the Finance Function on regulatory interpretation via relevant forums in the Bank. As a senior member of Finance, you will play a key role in delivering the key objectives of Finance, influencing at senior levels and actively contributing to the management, development and delivery of the overall finance function
Responsibilities:
- Work with your fellow Senior Managers and Heads of Function to develop a best-in-class Regulatory Reporting Function in the Bank, acting as a partner to the Regulatory Reporting team, ensuring that the team are fully informed of new and existing regulatory interpretation changes as required.
- Assist the broader function on regulatory interpretation for Liquidity, Capital and Financial Interpretation for future planning purposes.
- Lead the ongoing interpretation of new and existing reports assigned to the Financial Regulatory Reporting function including; COREP, Leverage and IP Losses, LCR, AE, NSFR, ALMM, Pillar III
- As a regulatory reporting subject matter expert within the Bank, act as a technical advisor to all impacted areas including Treasury, FP&A, Capital planning and Financial Reporting, on material transactions being considered by the Bank to ensure clear interpretation and oversight of existing and emerging policies, standards and regulations;
- Write clear and concise regulatory interpretation opinions on behalf of Finance and present interpretation opinions to relevant internal committees and forums.
- Influence key stakeholders on the impact and implementation timelines for mandatory regulatory change projects and act as a key point of contact delegate for the Head of External
- Influence and support Annual Operating Plans and Strategic Planning process.
- Be a key contributor to technical papers in the delivery of Finance projects relating t0 Regulatory Reporting on time.
- Plan and manage the implementation of bank-wide/Group Finance processes and procedures, tools and techniques for Regulatory Interpretation management.
- Manage key internal stakeholder relationships, including the Regulatory Compliance teams, to ensure all relevant and appropriate legislation and guidelines pertaining to Liquidity Regulatory Reporting are identified, monitored and tracked;
- Support development and approval of the annual investment plan;
Requirements:
- Technical knowledge of CRR, Companies Act, Central Bank & ECB reporting requirements;
- Knowledge of asset and liability management, treasury function and accounting;
- Solid understanding of best practice financial processes/ systems and proven track record to lead the development of same;
- Demonstrated capability to think and operate strategically and translate those strategies into simple execution plans.
- Excellent leadership skills, shows initiative and courage to challenge the status quo and to remove barriers to change;
