We are looking for a new colleague to join us as an experienced Radio Network Planning & Optimization Engineer responsible for LTE/NR performance improvement, troubleshooting, and drive-test analysis across European projects.
Main Activities & Tasks
- Perform radio network planning and optimization activities within RAN projects.
- Troubleshoot radio network technical issues and provide clear, actionable solutions to the customer.
- Analyse drive test logs and abnormal events (call drops, setup failures, low MOS, low throughput, data failures) and propose optimization measures.
- Conduct feature trials, analysis, fine-tuning, and rollout activities.
- Perform TOP worst-cells analysis and recommend improvements at network, cluster, or cell level.
- Carry out network performance checks including KPIs, alarms, and parameter validations.
Required Education & Trainings
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related technical field.
Required Experience
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in radio network planning and optimization.
- Strong background working with LTE and NR technologies.
- Previous experience in European benchmark optimization projects (Germany, Austria, Netherlands) preferred.
- Experience on Swiss projects is an advantage.
Specific Skills & Technical Knowledge
- Deep understanding of LTE/NR radio principles and KPIs.
- Familiarity with drive test log analysis tools (Umlaut Benchmark preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive, target-oriented, and able to take ownership of dedicated topics.
- Excellent English communication skills for interacting with customers and presenting solutions.
- French language skills are an advantage.
