Are you passionate about developing innovative software that drives next-generation lighting technology forward?
Glamox, marine offshore and wind is seeking a Product Developer Software to join our dedicated R&D team. This is a key role within our organization to our business — where you will be involved in the design and development of software solutions for our advanced light solutions such as our searchlight platforms, contributing to cutting-edge technology used in marine, offshore, and defence applications.
You will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where your technical expertise directly influences product quality, performance, and innovation.
This role is either based in Halmstad, Sweden or Ålesund in Norway. Please specifiy which location on your application.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop software for the next-generation searchlight platform, including embedded systems, Linux systems
• Participate in system integration activities to ensure seamless interaction between hardware and software components
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for improved development efficiency and reliability
• Contribute to the implementation of cybersecurity measures to protect systems and data
• Develop and optimize of video processing features
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure maintainable and scalable software
• Contribute to software development within other product categories when needed
Desired Qualifications:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in software development
• Proficiency in one or more of the following areas: embedded systems, Linux development
• Skilled in C/C++, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong understanding of system integration and cybersecurity principles
• Familiarity with video processing technologies is an advantage
• Good communication skills in Swedish, Norwegian and English (written and spoken)
