Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Location: Sharjah

Duration: 2 years contract extendable to long term

• Required Experience: Minimum 5 years
• Actively participate in business requirement gathering sessions, as well as all cross-functional project team and requirement hand-off meetings
• Reviews business requirement and design specifications for completeness and testability
• Provides input in tasks planning and task estimation related to project requirement
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Perform functional, regression, UAT, performance, and integration testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOpsor other.
• Validate system performance, reliability, and compatibility across devices and platforms.
• Ensure compliance with government security and quality standards.
• Participate in requirements analysis to ensure clarity and testability.
• Work closely with developers, project managers, and business analysts to resolve issues.
• Contribute to the development of automation testing frameworks where applicable.
• Ensure all releases follow ITSM/ITIL processes, including change management and release management.
• execute, analyze and document results of software application tests.
• Logs defects and works with the development team on issue resolution.
• Proactively escalates issues to lead as needed and suggest process improvements.
• Responsible for maintaining project artifacts at centralized repository.
• Adopts use of best practices (templates, tools).
• Review database, application development, coding, deployment and security standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in software testing, QA methodologies, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Appium, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, DevOps practices.
• Experience testing APIs, databases, and mobile applications.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Familiar with database and application security standards.
• Familiar with RDMS, Application Development tools and Technologies.
