Job Title: Product Manager – Banking (Cards, e-Payments, Transaction Banking)


Job Purpose

The Product Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and managing banking products across Cards, e-Payments, Transaction Banking, and other major banking Domains. The role ensures that products meet customer needs, comply with regulatory requirements, and support the bank’s strategic objectives. The candidate will lead product lifecycle management, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-impact initiatives that enhance customer experience and Define detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria..etc.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Cards, e-Payments, Corporate Banking, and Supply Chain Finance.

Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify product opportunities.

Recommend new product features, enhancements, or new product lines aligned with business goals.

Prioritize product initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and regulatory requirements.

2. Product Development & Delivery

Lead end-to-end product lifecycle—from ideation, business case development, feasibility assessment, design, and development, to rollout and post-launch optimization.

Work closely with IT, Operations, Vendors, Compliance, and UX teams to deliver high-quality product releases.

Define detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Drive Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies as required by project portfolios.

Ensure timely and successful execution of product enhancements and new initiatives.

3. Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary liaison between Business Units, Technology, Project Management, Risk, and Compliance.

Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and product demos with internal/external stakeholders.

Manage relationships with vendors, scheme partners (Visa, MasterCard), and fintech partners.

4. Product Performance & Optimization

Monitor product KPIs, usage metrics, revenue performance, and customer feedback.

Conduct product performance reviews and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product profitability, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.

Master’s degree (MBA) or relevant professional certifications (PMP, PfMP, CPM, Agile) are a plus.

Experience

6–12+ years of experience in product management within the Banking or Financial Services industry.

Proven experience in at least two of the following areas:

Cards (Credit, Debit, Prepaid), Issuing & Acquiring

e-Payments (Wallets, Gateways, POS, Tokenization, Digital Payments)

Corporate Banking Products

Supply Chain Finance (SCF), Trade Finance, Working Capital Solutions

Experience delivering technology projects in partnership with IT and vendor teams.

Strong background in product delivery, requirements management, and digital transformation.

Technical & Functional Skills

Strong understanding of payment schemes (Visa, MasterCard), ISO 8583/ISO 20022, APIs, switching, and settlement processes.

Knowledge of digital banking platforms, mobile app design, and customer onboarding journeys.

Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Expertise in product analytics and KPI management.

Proficient in preparing business cases, BRDs/FRDs, and product documentation.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Strong leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Strategic thinker with attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Customer-centric mindset and continuous improvement attitude.
