Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and technically curious DevOps Intern to join our Cloud Infrastructure team. As a DevOps Intern, you will work closely with developers and product teams to help build, maintain, and optimize our AWS-based infrastructure. You will gain hands-on experience with real-world CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring systems, and cost optimization techniques.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure for simulationHub applications using AWS services.
- Monitor and maintain cloud resources to ensure reliability, performance, and security .
- Help implement cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing, storage lifecycle .
- Work with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK) to automate provisioning and configuration.
- Support CI/CD pipeline creation, improvement, and troubleshooting rules, and efficient resource allocation.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth deployment and environment consistency .
- Participate in daily standups and Agile ceremonies .
- Prepare documentation for infrastructure setups, workflows, and best practices.
- Assist in maintaining logs, alerts, and dashboards for operational health monitoring.
Requirements
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (preferably AWS).
- Familiarity with Linux fundamentals, networking basics, and DevOps principles.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Hands-on exposure to AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation)
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell)
- Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and container orchestration
- Interest in cloud cost optimization and performance tuning
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
