Cyber Security Analyst – Permanent, North West (Hybrid)
Are you an experienced Cyber Security Analyst looking for a role where you can take ownership, influence decisions, and make a real impact? A growing Information Security team in Manchester are seeking a skilled Cyber professional to join their expanding cyber security function.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll actively monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and enhance detection and response processes within a Microsoft-first environment (Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps).
You’ll be joining a small but highly experienced team that values collaboration, shared learning, and long-term stability. The team has a strong culture of mentoring, upskilling, and process improvement, with dedicated time set aside to help everyone grow.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong SOC analyst experience (preferably mid-level / L2 or above).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender.
- Experience with incident response, including investigation, remediation, and reporting.
- Analytical mindset, able to dig into potential issues and identify root causes.
- Collaborative attitude, with an interest in contributing to process improvement and mentoring.
Why this role is exciting:
- Hybrid working: Typically in the office once a week, with flexibility around incidents.
- Supportive team: Small, stable, and experienced with long tenure.
- 9–5 role: No out-of-hours call.
- Benefits: 20% pension, 35 days holiday + Christmas closure + bank holidays
- Real ownership in shaping the SOC and influencing security practices.
If you’re looking for a hands-on cyber security role with stability, growth, and the chance to help shape a function, we’d love to hear from you.
