About the Job

As a Senior Frontend Developer at Checkbox, you will join a tight-knit team of passionate and intelligent engineers. We value individual impact, trust, and continuous growth, and create space for engineers to solve meaningful problems and do their best work.

You will contribute to a codebase built primarily with React, alongside services written in Node.js and Golang. As part of a growing engineering team, you will develop user-centred features with significant and visible impact on the product and on how customers experience Checkbox.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to discover and deliver intuitive tools that help business users build software
• Design, architect, and build a wide range of interesting and challenging frontend features
• Build and maintain beautiful, high-performance UI components, layouts, and interactions
• Contribute to a future-ready, high-quality, and performant codebase
• Share technical ideas and solutions through technical design discussions and code reviews
• Champion best-practice frontend engineering standards and development processes

Skills

• At least 5 years of commercial experience building modern B2B SaaS products
• Advanced knowledge of React, with at least 3 years of production experience
• Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, self-driven projects
• Experience working in fast-paced start-up environments
• Ability to deliver reliably, on time, and at high quality
• Strong growth mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development
• Ability to write clean, reliable, and maintainable code
• Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude

Nice To Have

• Experience with earlier React technologies, taking ES5 code to modern solutions
• Experience building BPM, workflow, or low-code/no-code platforms
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases
