Location: Melbourne (preferred) or Sydney

Start Date: 26 January 2026

Duration: 4 months (high possibility for extension)

Working Flexibility: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Senior Engineer with a strong DevOps and software development background to join our team. This role involves architecting and optimising AWS environments, automating infrastructure, and supporting enterprise workloads. You’ll work under the direction of the practice team, contributing to cloud transformation initiatives without direct deliverable ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable AWS solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Packer.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Administer AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM) and enforce security best practices.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration on AWS.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking and application performance issues.
  • Monitor and optimise AWS resource utilisation and costs.


Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in AWS architecture and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and AWS CLI.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Deep understanding of AWS networking and security frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) highly regarded.
