MedHealth are seeking a project manager, someone with a high level of initiative, a great communicator and collaborator, and a professional can-do approach, to join our team.
Reporting to the General Manager – MedHealth Program Office the new role will:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle, from ideation to successful completion, ensuring all project objectives are met within the defined scope, timeline, and budget
- Deliver projects and work with teams that may use a hybrid Waterfall and Agile methodology
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Work closely with technology squads, architects, QA, and DevOps to ensure technical solutions are feasible, aligned to architecture, and meet non-functional requirements (performance, security, reliability)
- Understand technical designs, risks, and constraints sufficiently to challenge estimates, sequence work sensibly (e.g. environments, integrations), and remove technical blockers
- Act as the primary contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical tasks and technical issues into business impacts to drive value
- Execute the project according to the project plan in conjunction within the Stage Gate framework, IT and all stakeholders identified in the Statement of Work, Project Charter & Business Case
- Project management qualifications and certification are highly desirable
- 5+ years' experience in the successful project management and delivery of ICT-related projects
- Tertiary Qualifications in relevant field or experience
- Demonstrated experience working within a similar role
- Experience within Health, Government and Employment services highly regarded
- Agile project delivery and related tools are highly desirable: - Monday and JIRA
- Develop appropriate level project charters, project plans, including project scope, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Determine Steering Committee requirements
- Coordinate and communicate project activities, progress, and key milestones to stakeholders and senior. management, ensuring effective and timely reporting
- Manage project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure project deliverables are met and team members are motivated and engaged
- Proactively identify and address project risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans to minimize potential impacts on project timelines and outcomes
- Identify technical and delivery risks early (e.g. integration complexity, third-party dependencies, performance concerns) and define mitigation and contingency plans
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving process enhancements and best practices to optimize project delivery and overall organizational efficiency
- Develop and coordinate Project team to action activities across the life of the Project, ensuring the most efficient and effective use of resources and the completion of activities in line with projected timeframes
- Convene project team meetings as required to meet project objectives and drive using agendas, meeting minutes and action items
- Monitor and evaluate Project effectiveness post implementation
- Apply the right amount of project framework and protocols per project for change management, gap analysis, requirements documentation
- Support the building of capability and driving the maturity of the Program Office through projects and our Centre of Excellence
A bit about you:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering complex projects with a focus on ICT projects.
- Strong project management skills, including project planning, risk management, resource allocation, and budget control.
- Ability to deliver Waterfall / Prince2 / Agile projects and often a Hybrid combination of both.
- Excellent leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing project teams and driving high-performance results.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
