Project Manager / Estonia / 6 Month Freelance Contract

YunoJuno are working with a transportation company who are looking to hire a Project Manager on a freelance basis.

Role Purpose

We’re implementing a new Source-to-Pay (S2P) solution and need an experienced project manager (contractor) to drive delivery end-to-end.

The focus of this role is core project management, not solution configuration or detailed process design. You’ll coordinate teams, manage the plan, keep stakeholders aligned, and ensure the programme delivers on time, in scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Governance

  • Build and maintain an integrated project plan for the S2P implementation (workstreams, milestones, dependencies, critical path).
  • Set up and run project governance: steering committees, working groups, status reporting cadence.
  • Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and drive mitigation / resolution.
  • Track scope, timeline, budget and escalate deviations early with clear options and impact.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Legal, IT, Security, HR, and business units.
  • Act as the day-to-day project contact for the S2P implementation partner / vendor.
  • Ensure responsibilities are clear (RACI) across internal teams and external partners.
  • Prepare and facilitate key workshops, steering meetings, and decision forums (incl. pre-reads and follow-ups).

Execution & Delivery Management

  • Drive progress across all S2P workstreams (e.g. sourcing, contracts, supplier onboarding, purchasing, invoicing, approvals, integrations).
  • Monitor and chase delivery of key artefacts (requirements, design documents, test plans, training materials, cutover plans).
  • Remove blockers, resolve cross-team issues, and ensure decisions are taken at the right level and on time.
  • Coordinate with IT on integrations, data migration, security and access aspects, ensuring alignment with the overall plan.

Testing & Go-Live Readiness

  • Coordinate SIT/UAT planning and execution: timelines, entry/exit criteria, test ownership, defect triage, and reporting.
  • Track readiness for go-live across people, process, and technology.
  • Support planning and execution of cutover and the initial hypercare period post-go-live.

Change, Communication & Reporting

  • Work with process owners and change leads (if in place) on communication plans, training timelines, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide clear, concise status updates to leadership, including highlight reports, dashboards, and decision logs.
  • Ensure project documentation is organised, accessible, and kept up to date.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering Source-to-Pay / Procure-to-Pay / Procurement / Finance system implementations (e.g. Zycus, Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua, Jaggaer, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
  • Strong track record managing multi-stakeholder programmes in a fast-paced environment (scale-up / tech / multi-country is a plus).

Hands-on experience with:

  • Full project lifecycle from initiation to go-live and hypercare
  • Running RAID management, governance, and structured reporting
  • Managing external implementation partners and software vendors
  • Comfortable working on a fixed-term, outcome-focused contract with clear deliverables and deadlines.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent project management skills – planning, prioritisation, risk management, and execution discipline.
  • Strong communication and storytelling – able to translate project complexity into clear messages for execs and operational teams.
  • Stakeholder influencing – can align busy senior stakeholders and drive decisions without formal authority.
  • Structured and detail-oriented – strong documentation, follow-through, and meeting discipline.
  • Problem-solver – pragmatic, calm under pressure, and able to find options when plans change.
  • Comfortable working independently, with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in high-growth or multi-country tech / digital businesses.
  • Familiarity with procurement policy, compliance, and approvals workflows.
  • Exposure to finance transformation (P2P, ERP, AP automation, etc.).
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) – beneficial but not mandatory.
