To help the next generation of digital experts rise and shine, we’re launching our Vincit Rising Star Trainee Program 2026. We’re looking for a Junior Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to join our Data & AI business area, where we help our customers make informed decisions, optimize operations, and improve their customer experiences by transforming raw data into valuable insights. We’re looking for someone eager to grow into a data engineering or analytics engineering role, and jump into real customer projects from day one.

What is the program like, really? 🤔
From Trainee to Junior Pro! This program is designed as a career launchpad. You will start on a one-year fixed-term contract (March 2026 – March 2027) with a clear shared objective: to build the skills and confidence needed to transition you into a permanent junior-level position at the end of the program.
As a Rising Star trainee, you’ll work with experienced data professionals in impactful customer projects. You’ll get exposure to real-life implementations — such as building modern data platforms, developing data reporting architectures, and creating business analytics solutions that support AI-first organizations.
You’ll be surrounded by a supportive community – other Rising Star trainees, our senior experts, and Univincity, Vincit’s internal learning platform that helps you grow both technically and professionally.
Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll do during the trainee program:
☘️ Work on data engineering & analytics tasks (Microsoft Fabric, SQL, data modeling, pipelines, dashboards).
☘️ Learn modern cloud and data stack tools (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks)
☘️ Support AI/ML initiatives with data preparation, exploration, and model experimentation.
☘️ Consulting: Develop consulting skills and work directly with customers.
☘️ Continuous learning: You’ll grow through real project work and close support from your mentor, while making the most of Vincit’s internal trainings.
What are we looking for? 🔎
This trainee path is for future data professionals. Any previous experience with data, analytics or software development is a plus, though not mandatory. What we’re really looking for is motivation and the right mindset to develop into an Analytics Engineer.
Core Requirements
🎯 A genuine interest in data, analytics, and AI-powered analytics.
🎯 Basic understanding of data modeling, databases, or SQL.
🎯 A genuine interest in consulting-style teamwork with clients (and good communication skills).
🎯 AI Fluency: A genuine interest in AI-assisted work and curiosity to explore new tools.
🎯 Full-time Availability: Ideally, you’ve already graduated or are just about to finish your studies, so you won’t need to combine full-time work with studying, starting 30.3.2026.
🎯 Language Skills: Fluent Finnish and English skills, as most of our projects and customers communicate in Finnish, but we also communicate in English internally.
🎯 Preferably based in Tampere or Helsinki, as your main mentors are located there, which makes close collaboration and hands-on learning smoother and more effective.
Nice-to-have Skills
🎯 Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud or other BI tools.
🎯 Cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.
🎯 Python Or Other Programming Experience.
🎯 Experience or studies related to AI, machine learning, or statistics.

🌟 Solid Pay: A fixed monthly base salary of 3,000 € during the trainee year.
🌟 Fixed contract: 1-year fixed-term contract with a 6-month trial period. The goal is to continue as a full-time consultant after the program. Our career model supports your growth from Trainee to Junior and later to Mid-level. As your skills grow, so do your title and pay. Our aim is to offer you a permanent contract upon successful completion of the program (target: April 1, 2027).
