Security Engineer – Munster or Remote from Ireland

Our Cork based client, a Software Product House with massive scope for career progression has engaged IT Search to speak to a Security Engineer on their behalf. This is a fast paced, young, dynamic organization that develops a number of e-commerce web applications, delivering a high-performance system to global users.

The Security Engineer will work with Senior Management across various processes, development, infrastructure, vulnerability analysis and more.

The role:

• Understanding current processes relating to Security
• Identifying threats across various development and infra areas
• Create and execute pen testing and audits
• Make recommendations around threat vectors
• Create and maintain security based documentation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of post grad Security experience as an Analyst
• High level of confidence in securing Linux and AWS based systems
• Experience in working across secure networks, cloud based systems and more
• Ability to identify attack vectors, document suggestions to address and take ownership of delivering same
• Qualifications in Security required, threat modelling knowledge and strong auditing experience
• Exceptional communication skills required, able to work alongside junior team members to bring awareness of security posture as a given while being able to present findings to board level
