This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a (Senior) Frontend Developer – Web & UX/UI in Latvia .

In this role, you will lead the development of high-quality web applications, delivering intuitive and user-centric digital experiences. You will collaborate closely with product managers and backend engineers to transform requirements into polished, performant interfaces. Your work will combine frontend engineering with UX/UI sensibility, ensuring applications are visually appealing, accessible, and scalable. You will contribute to system design, integrate with backend services, and mentor other developers to strengthen the team’s frontend capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to influence both technical direction and user experience in a collaborative, agile, and innovative environment.

Accountabilities

  • Design and implement user-friendly, high-performance, and scalable web interfaces.
  • Collaborate with product managers and backend engineers to deliver polished user experiences.
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend systems and APIs while contributing to overall system design.
  • Apply UX/UI principles to craft wireframes, mockups, and design decisions balancing usability, accessibility, and business goals.
  • Mentor and guide team members, sharing best practices to elevate frontend and UX competencies.
  • Participate in code reviews, frontend architecture decisions, and performance optimization efforts.
  • Ensure responsive design and adherence to accessibility standards across all applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior-level frontend development experience with React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks (SCSS/Tailwind).
  • Proven experience or strong interest in UX/UI design, including wireframing, user flows, and interface aesthetics.
  • Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, build processes, and performance optimization.
  • Experience launching web applications from scratch or modernizing legacy frontend systems.
  • Familiarity with UI component libraries (e.g., Material UI) and testing frameworks (e.g., Storybook).
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in agile, remote, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong eye for design, usability, accessibility, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English.
