UX / UI Designer (Internal Systems & AI-Native Products)

We’re building an AI-native Transport Management System (TMS) used daily by fleet managers, dispatchers, yard teams, and maintenance teams across the US and Europe.

This is not a marketing website role.

This is a product + systems design role where clarity, speed, and operational efficiency matter more than visuals.

We’re looking for a UX/UI designer who can think like a product owner, participate in user story generation, run light research, and design internal applications that people actually want to use 8–10 hours a day.

What you’ll do
  • Participate in user discovery & workflow analysis
  • Join calls with fleet managers, dispatchers, and ops teams
  • Translate messy real-world processes into clear user flows
  • Co-create user stories
  • Work directly with developers and product stakeholders
  • Help define what should be built — not just how it looks
  • Design internal web apps
  • Dashboards, maps, tables, workflows, decision screens
  • AI-assisted flows (Copilot-style interactions, approvals, summaries)
  • Research and apply best practices
  • Internal tools UX
  • Data-heavy interfaces
  • AI + human-in-the-loop patterns
  • Produce practical design outputs
  • User flows
  • Wireframes
  • High-fidelity UI (Figma)
  • Design system foundations (components, spacing, states)
What kind of designer we’re looking for

You are likely a good fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of UX/UI experience (internal tools / SaaS preferred)
  • Are comfortable designing complex, data-heavy systems
  • Can move between:
  • abstract workflows → concrete UI
  • Understand that good UX = fewer clicks, fewer mistakes
  • Can challenge requirements when something doesn’t make sense
  • Are opinionated, but pragmatic

This is not a role for someone who:

  • Only wants to “make things pretty”
  • Needs pixel-perfect specs before thinking
  • Avoids ambiguity
Tech & product context (important)

You’ll be designing for:

  • An AI-native TMS platform
  • Users: Fleet managers, dispatchers, yard teams, maintenance teams
  • Core concepts:
  • Maps & geofencing
  • Equipment status & compliance
  • Repair workflows
  • AI Copilot interactions (suggest → review → approve)
  • Stack (for awareness, not implementation):
  • Laravel + React
  • Jira, Slack
  • Strong AI & automation focus
What success looks like in this role
  • Developers clearly understand what to build without endless clarification
  • Users need less training and make fewer mistakes
  • Workflows feel obvious even in complex scenarios
  • The product evolves faster because UX decisions reduce rework
Nice to have (not required)
  • Experience with logistics, fleet, ERP, CRM, or other operational systems
  • Experience designing AI-assisted workflows
  • Product thinking or PO/BA background
  • Experience building or maintaining a design system
Engagement
  • Long-term collaboration
  • High influence on product direction
  • Direct access to decision-makers
  • Remote-friendly
