Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join our digital engineering team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, hands-on experience in building APIs and microservices, and exposure to modern front-end frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality, and user-friendly digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices using the Microsoft .NET platform
• Build and enhance backend services using C# and ASP.NET
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components built with Vue.js, Angular, or React
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices and coding standards
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage source control using Azure DevOps and Git
• Contribute to improving application performance, scalability, and security
• Support test automation initiatives and follow TDD principles where applicable
• Work closely with product owners, architects, and QA teams in an Agile environment

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• 6–8 years of professional experience in software development
• Strong experience with Microsoft .NET platform (ASP.NET 4.5 or higher)
• Proficiency in C# for backend development
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, work items, repos)
• Strong knowledge of Git version control
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular (13+), or React
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience working in cloud-based environments, especially Microsoft Azure
