Cybersecurity Consultant

This is a remote position.

• Identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and develop security strategies aligned with business objectives.
  
• Conduct penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and threat modeling for networks, applications, and cloud environments.
  
• Detect, investigate, and remediate security incidents, performing root-cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
  
• Develop and enforce security policies, ensure compliance with standards like ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
  
• Oversee security monitoring, review logs and alerts, and implement continuous improvements to security controls.
  
  
  

• +5 years experience in years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on exposure to networks, systems, cloud, and security operations.
  
• +3 years experience with Cybersecurity Incident Responder.
  
• Knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring tools.
  
• Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR, or other relevant regulations.
  
• Ability to analyze complex security issues, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.
  
• Capability to explain technical risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders and advise executive leadership.
  
• Certifications (preferable) like CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or cloud security certifications like AWS/Azure Security.
