Offer Description
We require the incorporation of an Electrical Engineer with expertise in Microelectronics, in particular in the design of analog and Mixed-signal integrated circuits, to the research team of Project
Mem2CNN
This project, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), is a collaboration with the Technical University of Dresden (TUD) and the Scientific Research Center in Jülich (FZJ).
The main objective of the project is to incorporate a memristor-based template library into the processing elements of a cellular neural network in order to achieve programmable parallel array processing.
The goal is to overcome the limitations of traditional computers by creating high-performance, energy-efficient systems inspired by the functioning of the human brain.
The person to be hired will carry out the following tasks:
Design basic analog, digital, and mixed-signal processing blocks based on memristors.
Design complex circuits, particularly networks of nonlinear dynamic processors, based on these basic blocks.
Complete the design flow and send prototype chips for fabrication.
Perform the necessary tests and validations on these prototypes.
This person will work full-time and his/her role will be to complement the research team's efforts in these areas.
