A Day in the Life of an R&D Data Scientist
- Design and implement advanced ML/AI-driven solutions to accelerate product development and foster innovative ideas that contribute to business growth.
- Provide statistical and analytical guidance to enable data-driven decision-making and deliver valuable R&D insights for coffee process innovation.
- Translate complex findings into intuitive, digital tools that empower scientists, experts, and product development teams to uncover new insights.
- Stay updated on data science advancements and contribute actively in building internal capability by Coaching and mentoring teams on applying appropriate statistical methods effectively
- Engage actively in expert communities to leverage cross-business knowledge, share best practices, and stay ahead of emerging trends in machine learning and statistical analysis.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods, data visualization techniques, with strong foundation in machine learning mathematics.
- Confirmed hands-on experience in advanced analytics and predictive modeling.
- Excellent programming skills in R, Python, and familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to derive insights from data and present them through user-friendly tools (e.g., Shiny, Streamlit).
- Ability to collaborate in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment and engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Commitment to transforming research into bold innovation that drives business impact, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
