Role Description

This is a part time on-site role for a Network Specialist at Teceze in Netherlands. The Network Specialist will be responsible for network administration, troubleshooting, network security, network design, and general networking tasks to ensure smooth operations of the company's IT infrastructure.

Network Design and Implementation:

Design and deploy network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and VPN solutions.
Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches to network devices and software.

Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:

Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
Escalate complex issues to appropriate vendors or senior-level engineers as necessary.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce network security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.
Ensure compliance with organizational and industry-specific security standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and changes for audits and troubleshooting.
Generate performance and incident reports to guide decision-making.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with IT teams to integrate network systems with enterprise applications and services.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address business network requirements.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

Train IT staff on network systems and troubleshooting best practices.
Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and recommend upgrades to improve system performance.

Qualifications

Network Administration, Troubleshooting, and Network Design skills
Network Security and Networking expertise
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
Knowledge of network protocols and technologies
Certifications in relevant networking fields (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
