Cloud Engineer

ALTEN is now looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join one of our major clients within the automotive sector in Gothenburg. You will have a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud platforms that support business-critical services.

About the role

In this role, you will work with cloud architecture and development in a modern AWS environment. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for building secure, scalable, and well-structured cloud solutions.

The assignment includes hands-on development, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement of cloud platforms. You will contribute to architectural decisions, platform governance, and support teams in adopting cloud services in an efficient and structured way.

Main responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Build and evolve serverless architectures using modern AWS services
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and/or CDK
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud services
• Ensure secure identity and access management, including IAM and SSO solutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions, best practices, and cloud governance
• Collaborate with development teams to support integration and platform adoption

Your profile

You are a structured and solution-oriented cloud engineer who enjoys working with complex cloud environments and taking responsibility for your deliveries. You keep up to date with cloud technologies and enjoy collaborating with others to build stable and scalable solutions.

We see that you have:

• Experience from a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or Platform Engineer role
• Strong background in AWS cloud architecture and development (5+ years preferred)
• Solid programming skills in Python, Bash, and TypeScript
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation and/or CDK)
• Hands-on experience with serverless services such as API Gateway, Lambda, and Step Functions
• Experience with IAM, SSO, and AWS Organizations (e.g. Control Tower, StackSets, Service Catalog)
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
