We are looking for a Scrum Master for a 1 year contract with high possibility of extension. Role is requires the person to be on site 4 days a week in Downtown Toronto.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and Program Increment (PI) Planning events, ensuring they are well-structured, time-boxed, and focused on transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Proactively identify, manage, and remove impediments, risks, and dependencies; partner with product owners, leadership, and external teams to resolve blockers and drive timely delivery.

Coach and mentor Agile teams on Scrum practices, Agile principles, and self-organization, supporting continuous improvement and maturity in planning, estimation, and execution.

Keep teams, stakeholders, and partners aligned throughout sprint and PI execution, improving workflow and collaboration across teams in multi-team or scaled Agile environments.

Serve as a key liaison between Agile teams and business stakeholders, fostering a collaborative, psychologically safe environment and protecting teams from unnecessary external disruptions.

Promote the use of Agile metrics and transparency in progress, risks, and outcomes to enable data-driven decision-making and predictable delivery.

Required Qualifications (Must-Have Hard Skills)

  • Proven experience in risk, impediment, and dependency management within Agile teams.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent Scrum certification).
  • Hands-on experience with Program Increment (PI) Planning, including quarterly or large-scale planning events.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Scaled Agile certification (e.g., SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist).
  • Knowledge of or experience in the Release Train Engineer (RTE) role.
  • Background in Project Management, particularly in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
