Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in delivering complex, high-impact initiatives within an enterprise environment. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving Agile delivery, improving team performance, and ensuring alignment between business and technology stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong Agile fundamentals, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience working with technology-driven teams. Exposure to DevOps, cloud environments, and modern delivery practices is considered an asset but not mandatory.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Act as a Senior Scrum Master / Agile PM for one or more cross-functional teams, guiding teams through Agile best practices and delivery execution.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Leads, and Technology teams to ensure clear prioritization, scope alignment, and delivery readiness.
- Track and manage delivery using Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down/burn-up charts, cycle time, and dependency tracking.
- Identify and proactively remove impediments, risks, and dependencies to keep teams focused and productive.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure a smooth collaboration between development, testing, and operational teams, supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaborate on cloud initiatives, ensuring that cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) are integrated into the Agile processes for efficient delivery and deployment of solutions.
- Support cloud-native development, ensuring teams are following cloud best practices in automation, scalability, and security.
- Encourage continuous improvement through retrospectives, coaching, and adoption of Agile maturity best practices.
- Foster strong collaboration across teams to support smoother deployments, releases, and post-release stabilization.
- Support governance, reporting, and leadership updates while balancing Agile principles with enterprise delivery needs.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning within Agile teams.
- Partner with DevOps teams to streamline the development pipeline and ensure quality releases are efficiently deployed in cloud environments.
- Contribute to DevOps initiatives such as automating workflows, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring to drive better collaboration between dev and operations teams.
- Help define and improve cloud-based deployment workflows and streamline environments, focusing on automation and integration with DevOps practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or Agile Delivery Lead.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe concepts).
- Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments (financial services experience is a plus, not mandatory).
Nice to Have
- Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native environments, and automation tools.
- Experience supporting cloud transformation or cloud-native application development.
- Scrum or Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP).
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker).
