Job Summary
The Site Engineer supports the successful delivery of construction projects by ensuring effective planning, execution, cost control, quality compliance, and safety performance. The role involves coordinating site activities, managing resources, and ensuring works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning, including site layout, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain smooth workflow and resolve site issues.
- Manage material and equipment procurement, delivery, and storage to support project requirements.
- Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures to ensure works meet approved specifications and standards.
- Provide technical guidance to site staff and subcontractors to address construction challenges.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and as-built documentation.
- Enforce HSE standards, conduct site inspections, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor project costs and support cost-control and value-engineering initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders, providing progress updates and addressing concerns.
- Support HSE initiatives and incident reporting in line with company and IMS policies.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and structural works.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, construction software, and surveying tools.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations (OSHA or equivalent).
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years total work experience.
- Minimum 3 years relevant site engineering experience.
- GCC experience (minimum 2 years) is an advantage.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
- MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) – Professional Level (mandatory).
