You will join one of the UK’s leading financial services companies, who have built their success by putting people at the heart of their organisation by identifying and delivering products and services that are right for their customers. My client is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team to be responsible for designing, building, and implementing technical solutions that deliver business value and align with IT infrastructure roadmaps. This role involves resolving complex production incidents, collaborating across technical teams, and driving service improvements. You’ll also mentor and coach peers, helping to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement network infrastructure solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
- Lead initiatives to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support rota (after 6 months).
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of network architecture and infrastructure design.
- Cisco switching and routing (CCNA/CCNP level).
- Experience with Cisco wireless networking, CATALYST, Nexus, and SAN switches.
- Experience with either Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortigate
- Familiarity with Cisco ACI.
- ITIL framework knowledge.
- F5 BigIP load balancing and WAF administration.
