The Company
Robert Half are excited to be partnering with a community-focused not-for-profit that delivers culturally informed support programs for children, families and vulnerable community members. They are looking for a Senior Human Resources Specialist to join their team.

The Role
- Oversee key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employment record management and maintaining accurate staff documentation.
- Act as a central point for HR advice, supporting staff and managers on policies, employment conditions and day-to-day HR queries.
- Manage ER/IR matters by providing guidance to leadership, handling workplace concerns, conducting investigations and supporting dispute resolution.
- Coordinate staff training and development activities, manage the casual workforce pool and liaise with external providers for workers' compensation and EAP needs.
- Review and refine HR policies, processes and systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Provide strategic HR support to senior executives, contributing to organisational planning and people-related decision making.
Your Profile
- A genuine passion for supporting the community, with an understanding of and commitment to the culture, values and unique challenges of working within Aboriginal communities.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR (or related field) backed by solid experience in HR/ER roles.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
- Well-developed organisational skills and confidence working with HR systems and administrative processes.
- Clear, effective communicator with strong interpersonal abilities across all levels.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, email systems, databases and general online navigation.
- Able to work collaboratively and respectfully with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds while aligning with the organisation's values and policies.
