Business Analyst Oncology (m/f/d)

Position Overview

Reporting to the Oncology Commercial Operations Lead, the Oncology Pantumor Business Analyst will be responsible for maximization of the Oncology portfolio by executing Oncology strategic priorities, including digital initiatives and data analytics as well as executing on pan-tumor growth projects.

Responsibilities

  • Enable informed decision making and answering of key business questions of the business unit Oncology by turning large and complex data into insights and strategies
  • Driving descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics which use data extraction, -aggregation and -mining to provide actionable insights from primary and secondary data sources to support Oncology portfolio analytics
  • Driving and leading Oncology market research and interact with customer-facing teams to identify and leverage deep customer insights
  • Delivering meaningful customer insights through creating analytical reports, dashboards and visualizations of KPIs to support decision making
  • Supporting validating assumptions, models, forecasts, and business cases
  • Executing customer segmentation based on qualitative and quantitative data; over-sight of field force execution (frequency, coverage, social selling, resource utilization, etc.)

Qualifications & Experience

  • University Degree in business or life sciences (e.g. biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, medicine);
  • Experience in the Life Sciences Industry in sales/marketing analysis or other data analytics/metrics is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex situations and processes and effectively integrating and synthesizing the data to form a complete cohesive picture and actionable insights
  • Proven analytical capabilities and broad interest in data handling, modeling, visualization and reporting with the ability to set up robust business cases
  • Comfort with telling stories with data & high affinity to digital tools
  • Proven project management and project execution experience and ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills knowing who to go to, how to approach them and get things done via non-hierarchical influence
  • Ability to solve problems, create order and simplicity out of complex problems
  • Ability to think highly creative out the box and quickly deep dive into new domains
  • Fluency in German & English – both written & oral
